Anna and Jawad's Elegant Wedding Day at The Lodge on Harrison Lake

Anna and Jawad's wedding day at The Lodge on Harrison Lake was a celebration filled with elegance and personalized details that truly made it a day to remember. Family and friends came from around the world to take part of this intimate wedding weekend with the couple. The beautiful event was adorned with stunning pink and purple flowers from Paeonia Florals, adding a touch of romance and sophistication to the atmosphere.

The bride, Anna, looked timelessly elegant in a gown from Luxxnova Bridal, as she walked down the aisle to begin this new chapter of her life with Jawad. Their sweet puppy Altai was a special guest of honour as well!

As the sun set behind the majestic mountains and a gentle breeze swept in from the lake, emotions ran high as friends and family delivered heartfelt speeches, expressing their love and well-wishes for the newlyweds. Following this was an epic dance party with DJ Lucas Pardy and live music from The Raincity 6!

It was a day filled with love, joy, and cherished moments that will be forever etched in the memories of all who attended this magical celebration of love.

The Hamilton's Romantic backyard wedding in Langley, British Columbia

Katie and Jake had a very personal wedding on a family estate in Langley, British Columbia. Married in a grove of birches under the dappled light through the trees. The bride went through every effort to make sure no detail was missed.

Katie and Jake’s elegant wedding was filled with personal touches and nods to the couples personality and relationship. From the wood fired Neopolitan style pizza from Little Devil’s which was made on-site in a portable wood-fired oven, to lawn games which reflected their shared love of sport. Not a detail was missed and the bride created a gorgeous and relaxed atmosphere on a balmy August day.

Some words from the bride about their wedding inspiration:

“Jake and I met while in university. A few years later when we got engaged, we wanted a casually elegant wedding filled with those closest to us on our family’s property. Capturing the love between us, and the love and support surrounding us was our main priority. Looking back at our stunning photos, we’re reminded of what an amazing day it was.”

-Katie, Bride

A bridal party that was so obviously overflowing with love and support for the couple. From the tears at the altar, to the lively photos, heartfelt speeches, and Taylor Swift-heavy dance party, you could tell these ladies would be close for life. Speeches that were both hilarious and heartwarming.

Some kind words from the bride about the day’s photography:

“Mariel was OUTSTANDING. From our very first meeting I could tell we were in good hands. Mariel is so kind and thoughtful, and you can tell how passionate she is about what she does. Getting to do our engagement shoot with Mariel as part of our wedding package was great as we got to know her even better. My husband and I hadn’t had any professional photos taken before, and Mariel made us feel so comfortable throughout the shoot, and the photos turned out amazing! Once it got closer to our wedding, Mariel communicated clearly and promptly. During our meetings, I always felt heard, and Mariel offered lots of great tips and insight. Our wedding day couldn’t have been better. Mariel captured all the shots we were hoping for (and more). One of my biggest nerves was doing all of our photos during cocktail hour (as we didn’t do a first look). Mariel moved so efficiently and was so organized that we got everything done ahead of schedule! She captured the rest of the night flawlessly, getting a wide range of shots and capturing all the moments. After the wedding, we got lots of sneak peeks right away, and Mariel was very clear about where she was in her editing process, delivering our album promptly. We could not have picked a better photographer!!! THANK YOU MARIEL.”

Kwomais Point Park West Coast Wedding in White Rock, British Columbia: The Perfect Intimate Laid Back Wedding

Last July, overlooking the Pacific Ocean Sarah and Will shared their commitment to one another in front of their closest friends and family. This was one of those weddings where deep thought and consideration was taken in choosing every detail of the day to make it personal to the couple. From matching Ked's sneakers for their wedding shoes, to tables beautifully decorated with driftwood from the bride's parents seaside cottage, not a detail was amiss.

The day started off with capturing the beautiful bride getting ready at her Airbnb in Crescent Beach surrounded by her closest friends at family. The energy was relaxed and intimate as she had her hair and makeup done, and turned emotional as she donned her Park and Fifth Lexington wedding gown.

The Ceremony and Reception Details

A quick drive over to Kwomais Point Park and the couple was ready to exchange their nuptials overlooking the ocean on a beautifully sunny day, followed by a lively cocktail hour at the Kwomais Point Park Lodge and dinner catered by Tacofino. The love in the air was palpable as the couples friends and family spoke fondly of them and their lives together.

The couple then snuck out for some intimate golden hour photos before returning to the reception to dance the night away with their guests. Overall, it was a beautifully planned event, and Kwomais Point Park was a perfect a perfect location for this laid back couple's dream west coast inspired wedding day.
